A <a title=\"MEASURE GREEN BUILDING PERFORMANCE: PURSUING A LEED CERTIFICATION\" href=\"articles\/pursuing-leed-certification\/?utm_source=Blog&amp;utm_medium=Post&amp;utm_campaign=Oct-post1&amp;utm_content=LEED_Consulting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LEED building<\/a> can potentially achieve four different levels of certification based on the number of points achieved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LEED Certified \u2013 40 to 49 Points<\/li>\n<li>LEED Silver \u2013 50 to 59 Points<\/li>\n<li>LEED Gold \u2013 60 to 69 Points<\/li>\n<li>LEED Platinum \u2013 80 to 110 Points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Top US Cities for LEED Consulting Services and Construction <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Washington, D.C. has been named the <a title=\"THE TOP U.S. CITIES FOR LEED-CERTIFIED CONSTRUCTION\" href=\"http:\/\/www.builderonline.com\/building\/safety-healthfulness\/the-top-us-cities-for-leed-certified-construction_o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">LEED capital of the United States<\/a> which holds almost 311 million commercial LEED-certified square feet. That, in combined with their LEED residential area, makes up over one-third of the nation\u2019s entire LEED-certified space making it the <a title=\"DC is the world's first LEED Platinum city\" href=\"http:\/\/www.constructiondive.com\/news\/dc-is-the-worlds-first-leed-platinum-city\/504315\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">world\u2019s first LEED Platinum city<\/a>.
