Founded by NSPE in 1951, National Engineers Week, known as EWeek<\/span><\/a>, is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.<\/p>\n Dedicated to raising public awareness of engineers’ positive contributions to quality of life, EWeek promotes the importance of a technical education and a high level of math, science, and technology literacy. Their goals is to motivate youth to pursue engineering careers and provide a diverse and vigorous engineering workforce.<\/p>\n The annual celebration is held the same week as President George Washington\u2019s birthday, as Washington is considered, by many, to be the nation\u2019s first engineer due to his surveying work.<\/p>\n The theme for 2018 is “Engineers: Inspiring Wonder,” a time for everyone to celebrate and wonder what the next big innovation will be. The theme was selected to recognize the engineers who create awe-inspiring wonders like autonomous vehicles and space travel.<\/p>\n A licensed Professional Engineer (PE) will evaluate, plan, design, supervise, and consult on the construction and operation of projects such as commercial buildings, mixed use and retail centers, hospitality, corporate buildings, industrial and educational.<\/p>\n At Lexodant Solar Technology, our engineering consulting services include: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Structural Engineering, Energy Consulting, and LEED Consulting. He has recently established the Stephen and Kerry Bray Scholarship for students from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.<\/p>\n \u201cAt Rutgers, I learned to be a leader. I learned problem-solving skills\u2014I learned to gather facts well and talk to different people to find answers.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAs we\u2019re continuing to grow the business, I really wanted to come up with a structured plan to give back. I\u2019m on the ISE department\u2019s Industry Advisory Board and like that aspect of giving back, but I\u2019d like to help more personally as well.
